Terms of Service — RuieBit Wallet

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the RuieBit Wallet mobile application and any related services (the "Service") provided by DeBeque Youth ("RuieBit", "we", "us", "our").

By downloading, installing, or using RuieBit, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

1) Description of Service

RuieBit is a non-custodial Bitcoin wallet application that allows you to:

  • Generate and store Bitcoin private keys on your device
  • Send and receive Bitcoin transactions
  • View your Bitcoin balance and transaction history
  • Manage multiple wallets and address types
  • Use the Lightning Network for fast transactions

2) Self-Custody and Your Responsibilities

You are solely responsible for:

  • Safeguarding your recovery phrase (seed phrase)
  • Maintaining the security of your device
  • All transactions made using your wallet
  • Any loss of funds due to lost recovery phrases, compromised devices, or user error

Important: RuieBit does not have access to your private keys or recovery phrase. We cannot recover your funds if you lose access to your wallet.

3) No Financial Advice

RuieBit does not provide financial, investment, legal, or tax advice. The Service is a tool for managing your Bitcoin. You should consult with qualified professionals before making any financial decisions.

4) Acceptable Use

You agree not to use the Service to:

  • Violate any applicable laws or regulations
  • Engage in money laundering or terrorist financing
  • Conduct fraudulent activities
  • Infringe on the rights of others
  • Attempt to reverse engineer or compromise the Service's security

5) Third-Party Services

The Service may interact with third-party services for:

  • Bitcoin network data and transaction broadcasting
  • Price information from exchanges
  • Block explorers for transaction verification
  • Lightning Network infrastructure

We are not responsible for the availability, accuracy, or reliability of these third-party services.

6) Disclaimers

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND. WE DISCLAIM ALL WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING:

  • Merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose
  • Accuracy or reliability of any information
  • Uninterrupted or error-free operation
  • Security from all possible threats

7) Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, RUIEBIT SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR:

  • Loss of Bitcoin or other cryptocurrencies
  • Loss of profits, data, or business opportunities
  • Indirect, incidental, or consequential damages
  • Damages arising from third-party services

8) Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless RuieBit and its affiliates from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from your use of the Service or violation of these Terms.

9) Modifications

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Changes will be effective when posted. Your continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the modified Terms.

10) Termination

You may stop using the Service at any time. We may terminate or suspend access to the Service for violations of these Terms or for any other reason at our discretion.

11) Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Colorado, United States, without regard to conflict of law principles.
